Overview

Epaderm® Ointment is a 3 in 1 emollient, skin cleanser and bath additive that provides relief for dry skin conditions. It is an emollient developed by dermatologists specifically for people with dry skin conditions. Epaderm Ointment creates a barrier which aids moisture retention within the skin • Epaderm Ointment does not contain any fragrances, colourings or additives. It can be used on dry skin conditions and is suitable for all ages including babies. • Guidelines published by NICE state that greasy emollients like Epaderm® Ointment are more effective than non greasy alternatives.


How the product works

Always wash your hands thoroughly before applying Epaderm Ointment, which can be used in three ways:

  • Emollient: Apply to the skin as often as required.
  • Skin cleanser: Use as required when washing or in the shower.
  • Bath additive: Melt a little Epaderm Ointment in a container of hot water and shake to mix thoroughly. Allow to cool and add to the bath. After bathing, gently pat skin dry with a soft clean towel.

Precautions

Do not use Epaderm Ointment on patient and/or user with known hypersensitivity to the ingoing materials / components of the product. If your condition worsens or you experience any undesirable effects, stop using Epaderm Ointment and discuss with your health care professional. When used in the bath or shower please be careful as this will make the bath/shower surface slippery. For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes.
Do not use if the seal is broken or after the expiry date.

Warnings

Do not smoke or go near naked flames - risk of severe burns. Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings etc) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but not totally remove it.
